This course will be a practical approach to the study of Human Sustainability within the framework of Earth Science. We will undertake investigations of climate, weather and weathering forces, sustainable ecology, plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanic activity and geologic time. We will take a comprehensive view of the Earth by studying things such as the rock, carbon, and water cycles, the composition of the Earth, and much, much more. We will explore the physical Earth through its structure, its composition, and the extensive forces that affect it. We will explore and investigate in class, and in laboratory settings.
